Required Experience and Education
1. Master's degree in accounting, or Bachelor's degree in accounting with 150 hours.
2. Proficiency with computer, and spreadsheet software programs, or software appropriate to practice area.
3. Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles, income taxes, or consulting area as appropriate.
4. Either hold a current and valid certified public accountants license, or be working toward obtaining the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam.
5. If CPA, must be a member in good standing with the AICPA and respective state societies.
Job Requirements
1. Records transactions in ledgers, prepares trial balances and simple financial statements using computer and software programs.
2. Performs schedule computations of accruals, property and equipment, and calculates depreciation expense.
3. Performs audit procedures as assigned by Supervisors.
4. Assists in proofing financial statements, tax returns, and other documents.
5. Performs other accounting, auditing, consulting and tax duties as needed in projects and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
6. Assists in recruiting entry-level and experienced staff by serving as "greeters" for on-campus interviews and such other recruiting duties as needed and attend Beta Alpha Psi events, career days, and functions at colleges and universities sponsored by the Firm.
7. Attends to client service adding value to clients' businesses is an integral part of the job requirements and begins to learn cross-selling opportunities and refer those opportunities to more qualified professionals.
8. Takes responsibility for accuracy of data entry, accumulation, and maintenance in all aspects of what we do as an accounting and consulting Firm.
9. Learns through Mentor or direct Supervisor proper delegation and management of workload and demonstrates ability to properly delegate and manage workload.
10. Assists in marketing the Firm.

Position Reports To (Title): Plant Manager
Job Summary: Administers and interprets accounting policy, procedures and programs applicable to the plant.
Duties and Requirements of the Job:
1. Preparation of the annual plan (Roll 1), MTP (Medium term plan) and quarterly updates of the rolling 12 month plan (Roll 2, 3 and 4).
2. Recommends changes in methods or procedures and implements such changes as approved.
3. Applies and interprets organizations, plans, policies, programs, procedures, technical guidance and FASB pronouncements throughout assigned area.
4. Determines the monthly plant profit and analysis of the plant budget and forecast variances.
5. Assists in inventory control by monitoring and analyzing inventory levels, leads the annual physical inventory.
6. Prepares capital investment budget with accompanying justifications.
7. Conducts new product and process cost analysis as needed.
8. Prepare special financial and statistical reports and analyzes unusual items on financial or accounting reports.
9. Performs such individual assignments as the supervisor may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
10. Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including provision for the selection and development of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation. Also including, but not limited to organization goals and objectives, planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed within the department and ensure adequate and continuous control is exercised over the activities affecting quality.
11. Monitors plant performance and cost factors daily and informs and advises management of pertinent information and trends.
12. Monitors product profitability and reviews with both plant and corporate management.
13. Other duties and activities as assigned by the Plant Manger and/or the Group Controller.
Skills Required to Perform the Job:
1. Regular and predictable attendance
2. A knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
3. Must be able to develop budgets and forecasts and be able to determine profit and analysis of the budget and forecast variances.
4. Some operational accounting experience in manufacturing.
5. Must be proficient in general and cost accounting.
6. Must be PC literate, with working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software.
7. Prefer someone that has knowledge of BPCS software.
Educational Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:
1. Works at a PC for hours at a time.
2. Able to regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
3. Able to frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.

Job Description
Direct and assign the work of cost accounting staff
Assist in the review of monthly reports on manufacturing costs identifying problems through variance analysis
Assist in the review and update of labor and O/H standards on annual basis
Provide support in the continuing review of financial systems functions
Assist in the preparation of the annual facility budgets
Monitor expenditures and provide financial counsel and analysis to management when required
Responsible for monthly journal entries and ledger reporting
Responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting of shop floor activity
Oversee the set up and maintenance of manufacturing routings and related controls
Coordinate fixed asset accounting with Corporate accounting
Prepare regulatory reports as required or requested
Perform balance sheet reconciliations
Implement Lean processes
Serve as finance functional lead for the ERP system
Responsible for P&L
Adhere to company policy and procedures as well as Sarbanes Oxley regulations
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, or other relevant discipline
CMA or CPA desirable
7 - 10 years accounting experience
2 - 3 years standard cost accounting within an automated MIS environment
Previous cost accounting, supervisory, and ERP system experience (JD Edwards experience preferred)
Use of query functions and costing systems
Concentrated budgetary and financial planning background in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
Superior written and verbal presentation skills
