Job Senior Manager of Environment and Operations Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Environment and Operations is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and controlling the operating systems of the plant including: the performance of general building maintenance and custodial tasks, purchase and distribution of utilities, supervision of new construction and remodelling of facilities, administration of contracts for services, physical plant budget, supervision of physical plant personnel, repair and maintenance (except production equipment maintenance), housekeeping and supporting services of facilities, and systematic inspection, planning, and accomplishing repairs to facilities, equipment (except production equipment) and grounds. The Senior Manager is responsible for compliance with federal, state and local regulations on air and water pollution, waste disposal, and chemical releases as well as the health and safety of workers and compliance with OSHA regulations.
Essential Functions:
Ensure efficient and effective services are provided.
Negotiate contracts for the provision of energy, water, and gas for the plant
Administer contracts for services provided to such as security, landscaping, and janitorial.
Maintain an environment that is in clean, attractive, and orderly condition.
Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise functions an activities of the department.
Establish the measures of success for the operations organization and ensure that clear accountability is assigned for all key performance standards and objectives.
Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to executive management.
Advise and inform executive management on physical plant matters and problem areas
Supervise the plant’s buildings and grounds personnel; supervise tradesmen, contractors and/or their employees hired for specific work.
Supervise negotiations and bids for construction and renovation contracts; administer such contracts.
Discuss, plan, and delegate major project assignments to supervisory staff; determine building and maintenance priorities of significant scope.
Maintain liaison with architects, engineers, and contractors/subcontractors engaged in plant expansion, renovation, or other major projects. Act as the principal point of contact in such efforts to ensure the interests of the company are protected.
Maintain the repository for all plant blueprints and drawings. Maintain sufficient records, files, controls, and procedures to ensure management and work production.
Ensure that quality systems are effective in fully meeting all customer requirements for quality, service and delivery.
Ensure effective systems for process control, inspection, testing, and documentation control are in place and followed.
Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with executive management.
Review and recommend to Executive management improvements for company policies, procedures, and practices related to Environmental and Operations.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations and requirements for environmental issues.
Ensure that all appropriate environmental certification requirements are achieved and maintained.
Ensure compliance with hazardous materials disposal regulations.
Maintain ISO 14001 certification for environmental compliance.
Maintain the facility in an “inspection ready" state at all times, assuring the department operates within federal, state, and local regulations
Provide scientific and technical guidance, support, coordination, and oversight to governmental agencies, environmental programs, industry, or the public.
Process and review environmental permits, licenses, and related materials.
Prepare the annual budget for physical facilities. Maintain cost and budget objectives in accordance with company directives.
Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management Systems (BMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) requirements.
Meet all other requirements as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION PURPOSE:
Schedule and coordinate the preventative maintenance and repair of computer equipment, programmable controllers and other electronic equipment to reduce downtime, minimize costs, and contribute to increased production efficiencies.
Installation of hardware to maintain all systems to a current and most efficient production status.
Oversee all new installation of any PLC and computer controls and electronic equipment to insure the safety and reliability of the machinery.
Provide training to Electricians and Mechanics on any PLC, computer and electronic related material.
Install and maintain hardware and software for all plant WAN/LAN systems to maintain a current and efficient status.
NATURE & SCOPE:
The Electrical Engineer reports to the Senior Reliability Engineer.
Reporting to the Electrical Engineer are the Electricians.
The incumbent is accountable for Computer, PLC and electronic equipment installation, programming and maintenance to minimize production interruptions and cost effectively maintain the equipment. Incumbent must keep current all licensing of the program software.
Incumbent schedules daily maintenance and tasks to successfully maintain and keep up to date all systems.
Incumbent must keep a log showing all tasks that need to be accomplished along with prioritization of each, and all tasks that have been completed.
Maintain inventory and order necessary materials and parts for maintenance and installation.
Assist in the development and installation of new electrical designs to improve and help relieve costs related to manufacturing and to promote efficient operations, safety, and work in process reductions.
Direct work assignments to electricians to ensure necessary maintenance of equipment.
Challenges to this position include:
Reviewing the design of equipment to determine the most reliable and efficient applications of related computer, PLC and electronic equipment in a cost efficient manner.
Provide training to maintenance personnel to adequately minimize downtime in an computer, PLC and electronic equipment related occurrence.
Provide training to hurly production employees as required to insure proper operations of this equipment.
Major interactions include:
Superintendents, Supervisors, Electricians and Mechanics to discuss problems and coordinate repairs to schedule maintenance to reduce production delays.
The effectiveness of this position is measured by the timely and cost effective maintenance of Computer, PLC and electronic equipment to minimize production interruptions and increase production efficiencies
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Schedule and coordinate the maintenance of PLC, computer and electronic equipment to reduce downtime, minimize costs, and contribute to increased production efficiencies.
Maintain and back-up all software used in Computer and PLC equipment in the plant.
Assist, as requested, in maintenance of office hardware.
Determine spare parts needed and requisition necessary parts to meet these needs.
Continually adhere to and implement current procedures to protect integrity of the systems and eliminate piracy.
Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards.
Promote effective communications from all departments to assist in reduced production interruptions.
Provide necessary maintenance training to hourly maintenance staff relative to computer, PLC, and electronics systems.
Provide operational training to hourly production staff as required to ensure proper use.
Scope Of Work: Coordinate all projects within the design engineering department, ensuring they are properly resourced, tracked and completed within the specific project plan · Ensure global code compliance and registration for all products manufactured by the Spartanburg location Main Responsibilities: 1. Product Design: · Design of new products including valves and other flow control devices · Coordinate new product development projects, ensuring proper specification preparation in accordance with the stage gate process · Be a design resource for the engineering group · Lead product design revision activities 2. Product Verification: · Ensure published performance data is accurate through product performance testing in the laboratory · Expand product application and materials knowledge for superior alloys (254 SMO, Hastelloy C, Duplex and Super Duplex) · Lead deep-level investigations for challenging applications 3. Code Compliance and Certifications: · Be familiar with all global applicable codes · Make sure all products have the appropriate registrations and certifications. · Participate in relevant industry trade associations 4.
